FINE FURNITURE

I take commissions for stand-alone fine furniture – including small tables, chairs, shelves, framing, cabinets, and Tree Stories. I’m happy to consult with you around style, function, and material.

WOODBURNING & ENGRAVING

I do hand pyrography linework based on traditional tablet weaving patterns – which can be applied to furniture, decorative panels, doors, or nearly any surface that is unfinished wood. I also offer laser engraving on pieces that are flat and relatively small (under 12″ x 20″) or CNC engraving (under 48″ x 48″).

The projects that I woodburn and engrave are generally things that I’ve made myself, and this ensures that the entire process is seamless and controlled. I am happy to tackle existing pieces, provided two criteria are met:

1. The wooden piece must be unfinished.

2. You must be in Canada.

FOLK ART

I welcome requests for Nordic, Celtic, and Slavic folk items. Though these are my specialty, I will certainly not limit projects to only these cultural styles, so don’t hesitate to send me your requirements.

Past projects and collaborations have included: altar pieces and displays; altar shelves, alcoves, and cabinets; hlaut staves, spurging sticks, and wands; god and goddess icons and artwork; ceremonial boxes, implement displays, and weapon mounts; ceremonial jewelry and headdresses; divination tools … and so much more.

RESTORATION

I am currently not undertaking new furniture restoration commissions.

WHOLESALE

I generally work on a small, personal commission basis. This means that anything I produce is a one-of-a-kind piece and even in small batches of the same item, there will always be distinctive differences between items. Bulk is simply not my style, nor my desire.

If your shop is known for rare and exclusive hand made items, or you pride yourself on offering the work of local artists, I’m happy to supply pieces that fit your collection. I may already be making a product that you’d like to offer to your customers – or we can discuss something new that your clients have always wanted. One offs and ongoing relationships are both welcome, and I do offer different pricing for retailers.
